Tips on dealing with the General Chiropractic Council

tips on dealing with the GCC

Consider that any correspondence you send to the GCC may be placed before a Committee at a later stage and used to build a case against you.

Any communication will be assessed to determine whether you are making an admission and what insight you have into the allegations raised against you.

Make sure you are familiar with GCC guidance, particularly if there is a specific publication that relates you your complaint.
Ensure you keep copies of all correspondence and documents in relation to the complaint/adverse incident.

After any incident, ensure you make a contemporaneous record that is signed and dated outlining the details and those involved.

Remember you have a professional duty to deal with complaints in a courteous, prompt, professional manner.

Seek legal advice at the earliest opportunity from MAS if you receive any communication from the GCC because your career and reputation are at stake!
