Interim Orders of the General Chiropractic Council

Interim orders of the GCC

If the Committee deems that the practitioner represents a risk to themselves, the public and/or patient safety, they will refer the case to the respective Committee with a recommendation that an interim order should be imposed.

The purpose of these proceedings is to either place restrictions or suspend your registration until the substantive matter has been concluded. This Committee makes no factual findings but will indicate on their website what the outcome is. When are order is made it is usually for a period of 18 months, with a review being carried out every 6 months. This can have serious implications for your career and it is important you have the benefit of legal representation at any hearing.
